Do You Take Walk-ins?

We are happy to take walk-ins if we have a stylist available. It is recommended to make an appointment. Don’t hesitate to call and ask about a same-day appointment. If we are all booked for the day, we will be happy to add your name to a cancelation list, in case an appointment time should open. Appointments can be booked online down to an hour before the appointment time.

When I’m Booking Online, How Do I Know What Service Or Stylist To Pick?

If you’re ever unsure about what service to book, please call us and one of our knowledgeable front desk coordinators will help you. Feel free to schedule a consultation! All stylist bios are on our website, and work is posted to our social media pages as well! We want you to vibe with your stylist. It is important!

What Forms Of Payment Are Accepted?

Harlow salon accepts all major credit cards including American Express, Discover, cash, Venmo.

Do You Require A Credit Card Number To Reserve An Appointment?

We require a valid credit card number to reserve appointments. Please have your card ready when making an appointment online, or over the phone. If your appointment is not canceled twenty-four hours in advance, you may be charged half the cost of your booked service.

What If I Need To Cancel My Appointment?

Please call the salon to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least twenty-four hours in advance.
If you cancel your appointment with less than twenty-four hours notice, miss your appointment without calling, your credit card will be charged for 100% of your service. Please communicate with us, we are not unreasonable. Loop us!
If you arrive more than fifteen minutes late for your appointment, the service provider reserves the right to reschedule your appointment when more time is available.

Do You Sell Gift Certificates?

Yes we do! Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount, and can be used for products or services. Please let us know if we can accommodate you by sending, emailing, or reserving a gift certificate for someone special.

What If I Have A Service At Harlow And I’m Not Happy?

Please call and tell us as soon as possible! We are very committed to client satisfaction and we will make every effort to make you happy. Please call within 3 days of your service, and we will try to get you in as soon as possible with the same stylist or another stylist to make sure you’re happy. The exception to this is if you are undergoing a color correction or are working toward an end goal that takes more than one process, which should be explained to you by your stylist. If you have any other concerns about your experience at harlow, please call or email us and let us know. We would love the chance to make every service at harlow a comfortable, fun, and happy one.

Will You Remind Me Of My Appointment?

Yes! Our booking system automatically sends texts and emails when the appointment is booked and two days before the appointment to confirm by link, and a reminder 2 hours before.

Can I Bring My Child To My Appointment?

Forward answer, no. We have more of an adult atmosphere- with sharp… hot, expensive tools. We do not offer children’s services unless you yourself are already an established client, and are aware of the atmosphere. We are not for the easily offended. We will accept 10+ on an appointment basis.

What Is Included In My Haircut Service?

All haircuts include a shampoo, condition and hot towel to relax and blow-dry, Curling or flat-iron styling may be included at the stylist’s discretion. Harlow is an a la carte salon.

What If I’m Late For My Appointment?

If you’re running late for your appointment, please call the salon. If you’re late for your appointment, it’s at the stylist’s discretion how much of your service can be completed. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes late, without communication, you will be charged for the entire service booked- making it a “no-show” and you will be charged for full service- and is non-refundable.

LATE CANCELLATION (less than 24 hours) – If you book within 3 days of late appointment you can credit 50% of charged fee toward your rebooked appointment. 50% is non-refundable and goes to the stylist for lost time.
NO-CALL/NO-SHOW – Full amount of booked service will be charged and not refunded or credited. We show up for you, we expect the same respect. After one NC/NS, you will be required to PRE-PAY the entirety of next appointment you may want to make.
COMMUNICATE with us, and we can avoid ALL this- we KNOW things happen. But if you don’t tell us, we don’t know.. Communication is a win-win!

Should I Bring Pictures Of My Desired Hairstyle To My Appointment?

Yes! It’s always helpful to see pictures of your hair goals. Our stylists will discuss with you what is attainable at the current and future appointments, and how the pictured style might work with your hair type. You may NOT be a mermaid or blonde bombshell overnight, some things take time.

What Is Your Return Policy?

Unused items in their original packaging may be exchanged only, within fourteen days of purchase. We are a small business, and unfortunately can’t afford to take back items that are not sellable. If you are unsure about a product purchase, we can send you home with a sample of almost everything in the store.

What If I Would Like To Bring A Group ?

Harlow is the perfect place to celebrate. Please contact a front desk coordinator at the location of your choosing to discuss your needs so that we may accommodate you and your party.

Children’s Policy:

For the safety of your children and comfort of our guests, we request that children do not accompany you to the salon.

If arrangements cannot be made, unfortunately we will have to ask you to reschedule. Children’s haircuts are not listed as a service on the Harlow menu because this service is done as a courtesy to you by your stylist. If the child is unable to sit through a haircut and is incorrigible during his or her haircut we will not be able to continue the service. Harlow would like to continue to help make everyone’s visit pleasurable. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Color Care/ Keratin Policy:

Harlow Salon cannot guarantee the life of your color or keratin treatments if you are not using the proper professional color preserving hair care products. We are here to help you if you have any questions about our products to ensure you are using the right fit for you.

Other Harlow Policies:

A credit card number is put on file and saved when an appointment is made. This is to ensure your appointment is held. If you are a no-call/no-show, our system will automatically charge your card for the time we have allotted for your personal appointment. Please keep in communication with us if you are unable to make your appointment. This protocol protects the stylists time, and Harlow’s.

  1. 15 minute late arrival will require rescheduling.
  2. A credit card number is required to be on file to reserve your appointment. A fee equaling to the service amount will be charged (24 hour cancelation policy.) After ONE no-call/no-show you will be required to pay a deposit of your next appointment. Again, we just ask you communicate with us!
  3. No refunds on retail products (exchange for equal or lesser value)
  4. No refunds on services, EVER.
  5. We have the right to adjust prices due to length and density of your hair, we have the right refuse service.
  6. Harlow is a a la carte salon – meaning, there are no combos. everything is separate. Please speak to us about your budget and what you’re looking to achieve so we can possibly work with you without breaking the bank.

Cancellations:

As a courtesy, we ask for 24 hours notice on all cancelled appointments. Your saved card will be charged for the amount of your scheduled services if you are a no-call/no-show. Please communicate with us to avoid any charges. Reminders come at the following times : time of booking, two days before, and two hours before scheduled service. Call, email, cancel online.
